2ND LEAD Sevilla meet Gladbach, Celtic face Inter in Europa League By dpa staff

Nyon, Switzerland (dpa) - Defending champions Sevilla were drawn against Borussia Moenchengladbach Monday in the Europa League round of 32 while Celtic face Inter Milan in a repeat of the 1967 European Cup final.

Sevilla won the Europa League for the third time with a penalty
shoot-out victory over Benfica last season but face a tricky first tie in the knock-out phase against Gladbach.

"This is of course not a simple draw," Gladbach winger Andre Hahn said. "Sevilla are reigning champions but we will give everything to reach the next round."

The other Bundesliga side involved in the draw, Wolfsburg, have a tough clash with Sporting Lisbon, who narrowly missed out on progressing in the Champions League.

"It could have came easier," Wolfsburg chief executive Klaus Allofs told Sky TV. "But we are well prepared and will try to progress."

English clubs Spurs and Liverpool start at home to Fiorentina and Besiktas respectively while Everton travel to Young Boys of Switzerland in their first leg.

But one of the most eagerly anticipated ties features Scottish side Celtic taking on Inter Milan in a repeat of the 1967 Champions' Cup final, which the Scots won. The famous duo also met in the 1972 European Cup semi-final, with that contest going to the Italians on a penalty shoot-out.

"The Celtic tie has the feel of a Champions League match, due to the two sides' history," Inter managing director Marco Fassone said. "There will be an incredible atmosphere but we're ready to face that.

"Playing the second leg at home is a minor advantage. It will be one of the most exciting ties of the round."

Torino play Athletic Bilbao, Villarreal meet Salzburg and Roma take on Feyenoord in other notable ties.

The Europa League final takes place at the National Stadium in Warsaw on May 27, 2015, and, for the first time, the tournament winners gain a place in next season's Champions League.

The complete draw for the round of 32 is:

Young Boys v Everton Torino v Athletic Bilbao Sevilla v Borussia Moenchengladbach Wolfsburg v Sporting Lisbon Ajax v Legia Warsaw Aalborg v Club Brugge Anderlecht v Dynamo Moscow Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk v Olympiakos Trabzonspor v Napoli Guingamp v Dynamo Kiev Villarreal v Salzburg Roma v Feyenoord

PSV Eindhoven v Zenit St Petersburg Liverpool v Besiktas Tottenham v Fiorentina Celtic v Inter Milan

First leg matches are played February 19 and return legs February 26.
