Gesture lands Luis new ban

LIVERPOOL striker Luis Suarez has been handed a one-match ban for making an offensive gesture at Fulham fans.

Suarez, who also has an eight-match suspension hanging over him, will now miss the club's game with Newcastle on Friday
night.
He must also pay a £20,000 fine after admitting an FA charge of improper conduct relating to his actions at Craven Cottage on December 5.
Liverpool must cough up the same amount for failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during the Premier League clash.
The club admitted the charge, which was in relation to Jay Spearing's red card, but did not accept the standard £20,000 penalty for the offence.
However, the fine was imposed at an independent regulatory commission hearing today.
