ROME, July 1 (Reuters) - Inter Milan must wait to see if they will be allowed to keep the 2006 Serie A title after sporting prosecutors on Friday postponed pursuing Juventus's claim that their rivals should forfeit the scudetto for alleged involvement in the calciopoli match-fixing scandal. Lawyers from the Italian football federation (FIGC) decided not to take the case forward because the sporting statute of limitations had expired on any potential charges against Inter, said a statement on its website (www.figc.it). But the saga over the 2006 title is not yet over as FIGC's executive committee is expected to meet on July 5 and 18 to re-examine the evidence and reach a decision. Juve won the scudetto in 2005 and 2006 but were stripped of the championships and demoted to Serie B after the calciopoli scandal in 2006 with the latter title handed to Inter.
