ROME (AFP) - Palermo coach Delio Rossi has likened Argentine playmaker Javier Pastore to Brazil legend Falcao and says the youngster has not yet found his true position.
Pastore, 21, has earnt many plaudits this season in his role as the creative spark in the Sicilian team just behind a loan frontman.
"Pastore is only a little over 20 years of age and he still has to develop but this season he's already scored several goals and I don't know how many other players of his age would have expressed the same qualities," Rossi told Radio Radio.
"But I believe his future is in a slightly deeper position, like Falcao I see him as a midfielder who can play all over the park."
Falcao was part of the Brazil team that played at the 1982 World Cup and thrilled so many people that they have often been described as the best side never to win that tournament.
Falcao also played in Italy where he was part of the Roma side that won Serie A in 1983, leading to him being nicknamed 'The Eighth King of Rome'.
He was widely considered one of the best midfielders of all time and was at one stage the highest paid player in the world.
He is the current coach of Internacional in his homeland.
