Glover and Byrd head for playoff at Quail Hollow

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, May 8 (Reuters) - Americans Lucas Glover and Jonathan Byrd headed into a sudden-death playoff at the Quail Hollow Championship on Sunday after finishing the regulation 72 holes tied on 15 under par.

Byrd sank a 14-foot birdie putt at the 18th, only the third birdie on the hole all day, to tie his former college team mate at nearby Clemson University and force the playoff.
Byrd shot a level-par 72 and Glover posted 69 in the final round.
