LONDON, May 8 (Reuters) - AC Milan secured a first Serie A trophy in seven years and Manchester United and Barcelona, who meet in this month's Champions League final, moved to the brink of securing their league titles.
Milan, who have had to watch city rivals Inter celebrate the scudetto for the last five seasons, clinched the championship on Saturday with two games to spare.
Manchester United beat second-placed Chelsea 2-1 on Sunday and need just a point from their last two games to secure a record 19th English league title.
Barcelona are also just a point away from retaining the La Liga crown following a 2-0 derby win over Espanyol.
ITALY

Leaders Twente and second-placed Ajax will meet again next Sunday in the final round of the Dutch championship. Holders Twente need only a point to win back-to-back championships.
