Den Haag and Groningen to clash for Europa League place

ROTTERDAM, Netherlands, May 22 (Reuters) - ADO Den Haag and Groningen will meet in a two-legged playoff for a Europa League place after coming through Dutch championship playoff semi-finals on Sunday.
Den Haag came from behind to beat Roda JC Kerkrade 2-1 to
complete a 6-4 aggregate success, while Groningen beat Heracles Almelo 2-1 to advance on away goals after losing the first leg 3-2.
Morten Skoubo headed Roda ahead after 13 minutes but Mitchel Pique equalised for Den Haag after 31 minutes when his cross from the left flank sailed in and Wesley Verhoek settled the match 11 minutes from time after an impressive run.
Groningen beat Heracles Almelo 2-1 to advance on the away goal rule after losing the first leg 3-2.
Petter Andersson and Oluwafemi Ajilore scored for Groningen, who had Tim Sparv sent off after his second booking before Glynor Plet netted a late consolation.
Den Haag will host Groningen in the first leg on Thursday with the return leg on Sunday.
