Inter go second as Napoli lose, Bari relegated

Inter Milan came back from a goal and a man down to defeat Lazio 2-1 at the San Siro and go second five points behind Serie A leaders AC Milan on a Saturday during which Napoli and Udinese lost and Bari were relegated.Inter were reduced to 10 men after 22 minutes when Julio Cesar was sent off for bringing down Mauro Zarate who scored from the resultant penalty.
Wesley Sneijder equalised with a free kick five minutes before halftime and Samuel Eto'o scored the winner after rounding the goalkeeper on 53 minutes. Lazio also finished the match with 10 men after skipper Stefano Mauri was sent off in the 66th minute.
Edinson Cavani gave Napoli a second-minute lead with a penalty against his former club but, in a feisty fixture, rejuvenated Palermo hit back through Federico Balzaretti on 38 minutes with Cesare Bovo's penalty on the stroke of halftime turning out to be the winner.
The results mean a win for AC Milan at Brescia later on Saturday would take them eight points clear with just four games of the season left.
Fifth-placed Udinese, who played most of the match with 10 men after Gokhan Inler's 21st-minute sending off, failed to take advantage of Lazio's loss with an Amauri double giving struggling Parma a precious three points in Udine.
Bari were relegated after a second-half winner from Nicola Pozzi pushed Sampdoria to 35 points level with third-from-bottom Lecce, who were on the wrong end of a thrilling 4-2 match in Genoa.
Cesena climbed two points above the drop zone after goals from Emanuele Giaccherini and Dominique Malonga helped the Serie A newcomers to a crucial 2-0 win at Bologna. Two goals from Alessio Cerci resulted in Fiorentina jumping above Cagliari to ninth position after a 2-1 win in Sardinia.
In Palermo, Napoli were gifted the perfect start as Cavani, who had missed from the spot last week against Udinese, sent Salvatore Sirigu the wrong way with the calmest of penalties in the second minute.
After Bovo and Cavani shot over, Balzaretti equalised for the Rosanero on 38 minutes with a typically sweet volley running in from his left-back position.
Palermo coach Delio Rossi was then sent from the dugout after disputing a decision but the rampant home side still took the lead seconds before halftime through a Bovo penalty. Giulio Migliaccio, played in by an exquisite back heel from Javier Pastore, was brought down in the box and although Antonio Nocerino found the net as the ball broke, the referee had already blown for the penalty.
Balzaretti and Abel Hernandez both struck the woodwork early in the second half as Palermo continued to pose the greater danger with substitute Cristiano Lucarelli's tame 75th-minute header the only effort of note for a sorry Napoli.
An early winner from Simone Perrotta against Chievo Verona took Roma within three points of Udinese and four of Lazio, who occupy the final Champions League place.
