Hoeness: Munich planning Heynckes talks

Bayern Munich will hold talks with Jupp Heynckes within the next days over a third coaching term at the reigning Bundesliga champions, Munich president Uli Hoeness was on Wednesday quoted as saying.
"Both sides are interested in principle. Talks will be held within the next days. I believe that something positive will come out of it," the Osnabruecker Zeitung quoted Hoeness as saying the previous night in Osnabrueck.

Hoeness said that Munich's supervisory board has no objections to Heynckes taking the place of Louis van Gaal on July 1.
Heynckes, 65, said on Monday he will leave Bayer Leverkusen after the season. He coached Munich to two Bundesliga titles during his first term 1987-1991 and was at the helm there again for the final weeks of the 2008-09 season after the sacking of Juergen Klinsmann.

Munich and Van Gaal decided to part company after the season in which Munich will win no title and is struggling to make the next Champions League. Van Gaal led Munich to a German league and cup double and into the Champions League final last year.
