Kagawa returns to Dortmund amid April comeback speculation

Japan star Shinji Kagawa was expected back at German Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday amid speculation that he could return to action from injury next month.
The midfielder Kagawa has been out of action since fracturing the fifth metatarsal in his right foot in January at the Asian Cup.
He underwent rehabilitation in Japan, first in Tokyo and then further south in Osaka over the past days because of nuclear fallout concern in the wake of the March 11
earthquake and tsunami which damaged the Fukushima plant.
Kagawa was originally not expected to play until next season, but there is now hope that he may be back in April for Dortmund, whose Bundesliga lead has shrunk to seven points in recent weeks.
"Things are looking very good, rehabilitation went without complications," said his advisor Thomas Kroth.
Dortmund sports director Michael Zorc said "the Japanese appear to have worked wonders," but warned that the club won't rush him back into action. Dortmund doctors are set to conduct examinations on Kagawa on Thursday.
