Hamburg (dpa) - Organizer Michael Stich hopes that injury-plagued
tennis veteran Tommy Haas will be able to play one more time at the
tournament in his birth town of Hamburg.
Haas, 36, reached the final at tbhe former Masters event in 2012 and is now working on a comeback from yet another shoulder operation.
The the former top-10 player targets a March return at the Masters in Indian Wells, and Stich - the former Wimbledon champion and Hamburg winner - hopes that Haas will also come to Hamburg in 2015.
"What I would love most is that Tommy achieves his comeback and can bid farewell to his fans at the Rothenbaum (arena) as an active player," Stich told Wednesday's Hamburger Abendblatt paper.
