Everton beat QPR 3-1 to move into top half of Premier League

London (dpa) - Everton beat Queens Park Rangers 3-1 on Monday to move into the top half of the Premier League.

Ross Barkley, Kevin Mirallas and Steven Naismith scored as Everton
ended a three-match winless run. The victory lifts the Toffees up to 10th place ahead of city rivals Liverpool on goal difference.

Barkley scored from outside the area in the 33rd minute, and Mirallas made it 2-0 just before half-time with a free-kick that deflected off Eduardo Vargas. Naismith headed home a third early in the second half before QPR's Bobby Zamora scored a late consolation goal.

QPR, who remain in the bottom three, have lost all eight away matches this season. They are the only team in England's top four divisions without a point away from home.
