Real Madrid remove cross from badge for Abu Dhabi Bank

The Spanish giants announced a three-year partnership agreement with the National Bank of Abu Dhabi

Sponsorship deals in football are getting bigger and
bigger all the time and it appears the financial gain is so profitable for some that they are willing to compromise on certain aspects of their identity.
Real Madrid, spearheaded by billionaire president Florentino Pérez, announced a three-year partnership agreement with the National Bank of Abu Dhabi, the leading bank in the United Arab Emirates, which he was dubbed a "strategic alliance with one of the most prestigious institutions in the world".
Images from the presentation have now surfaced and it has been revealed that the Real Madrid's Abu Dhabi credit card features an edited version of the regular badge, with the cross - a Christian symbol - above the crown removed so as to avoid causing offence or discomfort among Muslim customers, according to Marca.
The International Religious Freedom Report 2005 claims that UAE's relgious demographic population are approximately 55% Muslim while 25% are Hindu, 10% are Christian, 5% are Buddhist, and 5% other religions.
