Galliani asks league to postpone Milan’s match

MILAN (AP)—AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani has written to the league asking them to postpone Sunday night’s Serie A match with Napoli because of the adverse weather conditions affecting northern Italy.
Milan missed the chance to go above Juventus at the top of the Serie A standings after losing at Lazio 2-0 on Wednesday.

Juventus’ game at Parma on Tuesday was postponed due to snow, as were three of Wednesday’s games: Atalanta vs. Genoa; Bologna vs. Fiorentina; and Siena vs. Catania.
In an open letter to league president Maurizio Beretta, Galliani says that because of weather “not seen in Milan for 27 years” he “strongly believes that playing a game would be very much more than unsuitable.”
Juventus plays Siena.
