Uruguayan Cavani does not see a Copa America’s favorite

SAN JUAN (AFP) - Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani said late on Monday after a 1-1 draw with Peru, in the Copa America Group C, that he sees no favorites in this tournament.

"The result shows that there is no favorite to win. Will win the team that is more concentrated, the competition is just beginning", Cavani said after the match played at the Bicentennial stadium, in San Juan.
Uruguay was described as one of the favorites in this Copa America, along with Brazil and Argentina, but the three teams have a draw in their opening games.
"We do not underestimate any team, Peru is a very tough adversary, and we had time to prepare and it showed on the field."
Cavani (Napoli-ITA), estimated that despite the Uruguay tie, the team "tried to clamp on all sides." "We are playing at a good level and we will make a good Copa America."
About Chile, Cavani said the team will repeat the scheme adopted against the Peru: "let's do the same game, but correcting errors to win the three points ..."
Uruguay will face Chile in Mendoza, on Friday, before traveling to Buenos Aires to play against Mexico on Tuesday, 12.
