SHANGHAI, July 28 (Reuters) - Ryan Lochte retained the men’s 200 metres individual medley title in a world
record time after edging a titanic tussle with compatriot Michael Phelps at the world championships on Thursday.
Lochte clocked one minute, 54.00 seconds to break his own mark by 0.10 seconds and claim gold ahead of Phelps, who took silver in 1.54.16, while Laszlo Cseh of Hungary was third in 1:57.69.
