Mano Menezes: Brazil did not have 'forcefulness' in the attack

LA PLATA, July 3, 2011 (AFP) - The coach Mano Menezes admitted on Sunday that Brazil was not efficient in the attack at the end of a 0-0 tie with Venezuela, in the opening Group B of the Copa America.

"In the first half we had chances to score, but in the second was different, we lacked of sharpness" said the coach in the press conference after the match.

Brazil used Ganso, Robinho, Pato and Neymar in the attack, but still failed to score against Venezuela.
"We tried in both sides, but we could not be faster, and could not sneak a player in the area, where we did not have one. Venezuela worked very hard" said Mano, after the draw.

Against the next opponent, Paraguay, on July 9, in Cordoba, Mano Menezes has promised that "will be another game", and estimated that the Gerardo Martino’s team will have "more responsibility" then Venezuela, leaving the defense for the victory.

"We will see a very balanced match" said Menezes, who declined to comment on the mistakes made by his players against Venezuela.
