MENDOZA, July 2, 2011 (AFP) - Goalkeeper and captain of the Chilean team, Claudio Bravo said Saturday that the 'Roja' proposed an offensive display in the 2011 Copa America, and the team will "do everything" with the hope of winning the first continental title.
"We will face the games the same way we have done since long ago, with our ideas, our clarity and our desire to play football with on equal terms with anyone. We will do everything in this Copa America" Bravo said at a press conference.
At the end of morning practice, led by the Argentine Claudio Borghi, Bravo said that "the idea is to see a winner Chile, to take the lead in every game."
"We plan to reach the semifinals, not as a goal, but as an ideal. Within each one is the idea to go and win the title and we came with this idea, but we have to go step by step and not to raise false expectations" he added.
