FIFA's representative for women's football has criticised comments by Nigeria coach Eucharia Uche on homosexuality in the sport.Tatjana Haenni told a German radio station Wednesday that football's ruling body was "against any form of discrimination."
Uche had caused controversy with an interview ahead of the women's World Cup in Germany in which she called homosexuality a "dirty issue," and "spiritually, morally very wrong."
Haenni told Hessischer Rundfunk FIFA would be talking to Uche about her comments and reminding the coach of FIFA's statutes.
"We are here at a FIFA event and will point out that it would be best to express oneself neutrally," she said.
