Tennis-Open-Murray labours before overcoming French qualifier

PARIS, May 24 (Reuters) - Fourth-seeded Briton Andy Murray made a string of unforced errors before defeating French qualifier Eric Prodon 6-4 6-1 6-3 in the first round of the French Open on Tuesday.
Prodon, ranked 124th in the world, has only won one match on the
main tour in his 11-year professional career although he beat Roger Federer once in his junior years.
Murray, who has never advanced past the quarter-finals at Roland Garros, was broken for 3-1 in the third set before rallying to wrap up the match.
Prodon bowed out when he netted a sliced forehand allowing Murray to set up a second-round meeting with Italian Simone Bolelli.
