Real and Barca avoid UEFA disciplinary action

LONDON, May 2 (Reuters) - Real Madrid and Barcelona escaped disciplinary action from UEFA on Monday relating to last week's ill-tempered Champions League semi-final first leg.
European soccer's governing body said it had rejected the complaint lodged by
Barcelona against comments made by Real boss Jose Mourinho and rejected Real's protests against the behaviour of Barca players in the match Pep Guardiola's side won 2-0.
"UEFA has rejected both the protests lodged by Real Madrid CF and the complaint made by FC Barcelona following the UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg," it said on its website (www.uefa.com) the day before the sides play the second leg.
