CARSON, Calif. (AP)—The Los Angeles Galaxy will host FA Cup finalist Manchester City in an exhibition on July 24 at the Home Depot Center.
The game announced Thursday is part of a preseason tournament called the World Football Challenge that also includes Champions League finalists Manchester United and Barcelona, Real Madrid, the New England Revolution, Chicago Fire and Vancouver Whitecaps, and Mexico’s Chivas and America. The Galaxy announced last week they will play Spanish league runner-up Real Madrid on July 16 at the Los Angeles Coliseum.Preparing for its first season in the Champions League, Manchester City already had scheduled a July 18 game at Vancouver. The Premier League opens Aug. 13.
