French Open men - 4th Round - Men-**N Djokovic 3 - 0 R Gasquet

N Djokovic 6 6 6- -
 R Gasquet 4 4 2 - -

- -  DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-4 6-2 - GAME, SET & MATCH - Win number 41 for Djokovic as he completes his straight sets win over Gasquet, when the Frenchman hit a backhand into the net.

- - DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-4 5-2 - Djokovic earns himself a first match point with a forehand return of serve down the line. It goes begging when the Serb hits wide down the line and he also squanders a second chance when another backhand down the line, albeit this one long. And Gasquet goes on to hold with an unreturnable serve. The Serb will serve for it after the change of ends though

- - DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-4 5-1 - Djokovic holds to 15 with an forehand winner down the line. Gasquet will have to serve to stay in the match next ...
- -  DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-4 4-1 - BREAK - The Serb gets up to a decent drop shot from Gasquet and just flicks the ball across court for a winner to earn himself two more break points. And he breaks on the first with a backhand passing shot winner down the line. Djokovic is just two games away now from win number 41 this year (43 in succession)
- - DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-4 3-1 - Djokovic holds to consolidate the break when Gasquet fails to send a backhand return into court. The Frenchman looks well and truly beaten now and all Djokovic has to do is continue to hold serve

- -  DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-4 2-1- BREAK - A great one-two of a cross court forehand followed by a forehand down the line that Djokovic cannot return earns Gasquet a game point. But he cannot take advantage of it and Djokovic goes on to break when the Frenchman fails to find a forehand down the line. He is furious with himself and slams his racquet into his bag at the change of ends

- - DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-4 1-1 - Another ace from Djokovic, his eighth so far in this match, as he eases through another service hold to level up once again
- - DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-4 1-0 - Gasquet gets lucky this time with a forehand that catches the top of the tape and puts Djokovic off enough to fire an off-forehand wide across court in the course of a hold for the Frenchman
- -  DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-4 - SET - Djokovic's seventh ace brings up three set points. But once again only one is needed as the Serb produces yet another cracking one two - a serve out wide followed by a forehand winner back behind the Frenchman
- - DJOKOVIC 6-4 5-4 - Gasquet holds with a foray into the net that ends when Djokovic hits into the net and, as he did in the first, the Frenchman holds to force Djokovic to serve out the set
- - DJOKOVIC 6-4 5-3 - A great serve out wide from Djokovic followed by a change of direction forehand winner down the line seals the hold for the Serb that consolidates the break and forces Gasquet to serve to stay in the set next
- -  DJOKOVIC 6-4 4-3 - BREAK - A really poor service game from Gasquet as he hits into the net to hand Djokovic three break points. And the Serb only needs the one as Gasquet sends a relatievly straightforward long of the baseline
- - DJOKOVIC 6-4 3-3 - Another comfortable service hold goes the way of Djokovic as he levels up yet again to keep the pressure on Gasquet
- - DJOKOVIC 6-4 2-3 - A murmur from the crowd greets Gasquet's forehand long as it allows Djokovic to level at 30-30. But the Frenchman recovers in time to hold with a cross court backhand that goes back behind Djokovic, who is tracking back to the centre of the court
- - DJOKOVIC 6-4 2-2 - Djokovic holds to 15 once again to level up, Gasquet's only point coming when Djokovic hits a forehand long across court. Like Wawrinka before him on this court, Gasquet does not have the body language of someone who believes he can win this clash despite being talented enough to give the world number two a good challenge if he played his best
- - DJOKOVIC 6-4 1-2 - Gasquet gets himself out of a spot of bother with a delicate sliced backhand drop shot that Djokovic, well behind the baseline, can only watch. The Frenchman comes through a solid hold from deuce when Djokovic's forehand return of serve sails long
- - DJOKOVIC 6-4 1-1 - A forehand from Djokovic catches the top of the tape before landing just on the line to bring up three game points, although one is all he needs as he holds by pushing Gasquet from one side of the court to the other and eventually stretching the Frenchman into an error (a backhand into the net)
- - DJOKOVIC 6-4 0-1 - Gasquet unleashes a bullet of a backhand winner down the line on his way to setting up two game points. But he squanders the first when he hits wide off a Djokovic backhand that caught the top of the tape. Still he makes amends on the next point with a solid serve that Djokovic can only return long and he holds for the opening game of this second set
- -  DJOKOVIC 6-4 - SET - Gasquet uncoils a cross court backhand at a blistering pace to grab a point and level at 15-15 but he dumps a forehand return into the bottom of the net to hand Djokovic two set points. The Serb only needs one though as he whips a forehand winner across court to wrap up the set
- - DJOKOVIC 5-4 - Gasquet brings up two game points with his fourth ace of the afternoon before holding with a drop shot that Djokovic cannot get back over the net despite covering the ground in plenty of time. The Serb will still have the chance to serve out the set after the change of ends though
- - DJOKOVIC 5-3 - A very straightforward service hold for Djokovic, sealed when Gasquet pulls a backhand wide across court. The Frenchman will have to serve to stay in this first set next
- - DJOKOVIC 4-3 - Gasquet remains just the one break down as he holds without any trouble, Djokovic failing to land a forehand return on the first of the Frenchman's game points
- - DJOKOVIC 4-2 - Djokovic slips on the baseline before hitting an off-forehand wide to hand Gasquet two break points. Although they both go begging, Gasquet gets a third chance when a forehand of the Serb's ends up in the net. But he fails to land his return off a body-serve and the Serb goes on to hold with ace number five
- - DJOKOVIC 3-2 - Back-to-back aces from Gasquet, the second down the centre of the court, get him out of trouble at 30-40 down. And he goes on to hold with another unreturnable serve
- - DJOKOVIC 3-1 - Djokovic's serve is firing on all cylinders already as he batters down ace number four to go 30-0 up before going on to hold with a sliced backhand drop shot that Gasquet just did not see coming.
- - DJOKOVIC 2-1 - Gasquet gets the crowd going with an ace to open his second service game and this time he goes on to hold a cross court forehand proving too much for Djokovic, who hits his forehand wide down the line.
- - DJOKOVIC 2-0 - Djokovic book-ends a service hold with aces, finding a forehand winner and a backhand down the line in between to hold to love and consolidate his early break in this match
- -  DJOKOVIC 1-0 - BREAK - Not a great start from Gasquet as he finds himself early break points down. He saves the first with a huge first serve out wide that Djokovic can only return into the net but he can do nothing about the second when Djokovic finds a cross court forehand to seal the early break
