BUENOS AIRES, May 9 (Reuters) - Former U.S. Open champion Juan Martin Del Potro has torn a hip muscle, putting his participation in the French Open in doubt, the Argentine said on Monday.
Del Potro, who won his first grand slam title at the U.S, Open in 2009, pulled out of the Madrid
Masters tournament last week due to injury.
"The results of my tests showed a tear in the hip. I have already started rehabilitation and I will do all I can to be in Paris," Del Potro said on his Twitter account @delpotrojuan.
Former world number four Del Potro has been making a comeback this season after missing almost all of last year following surgery on his right wrist.
