Real's slim title hopes fade with defeat by Zaragoza

MADRID, April 30 (Reuters) - Real Madrid's faint hopes of catching leaders Barcelona faded when they rested key players and were beaten 3-2 at home by relegation-threatened Real Zaragoza in La Liga on Saturday. The defeat at the Bernabeu, hard on the heels of the
2-0 home loss to their arch Catalan rivals in Wednesday's Champions League semi-final first leg, gives Barca a chance to stretch their advantage to 11 points with four games left if they can win at Real Sociedad in the later kickoff (1800 GMT).
Angel Lafita netted twice and Gabi scored from the penalty spot for Zaragoza, while Sergio Ramos and Karim Benzema replied for the hosts, who were playing without top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo and midfielder Xabi Alonso.
Real defender Ricardo Carvalho earned a second yellow card and was sent off in the 87th minute.
