MIAMI, May 3 (Reuters) - CONCACAF has delayed its decision on who to back in the FIFA presidential election due to the non-attendance of Sepp Blatter's rival Mohamed Bin Hammam at its congress on Tuesday.
Jack Warner, president of the regional confederation for North and Central America and the Caribbean, said Bin Hammam had not been able to attend the congress because of visa problems but would meet with the North and Central America region's representatives in Port of Spain, Trinidad on May 10.
Warner, whose body has been a strong backer of Blatter in the past, told a news conference it would not have been fair to make a decision without Bin Hammam being present.
