Animal Kingdom wins Kentucky Derby

LOUISVILLE, May 7 (Reuters) - Animal Kingdom won the $2.2 million Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs on Saturday.

Ridden by jockey John Velazquez, Animal Kingdom finished the 19-horse race ahead of Nehro in second place and Mucho Macho Man in third.
