Ibra out again after return from ban

AC Milan star Zlatan Ibrahimovic was suspended for three games Monday following a red card he received at the weekend as he returned from a two-game ban.The Swedish striker was dismissed Sunday for insulting a linesman late in a Serie A game that Milan won 2-1 at Fiorentina.

He said that the insult was aimed at himself for his poor ball handling between two opponents, rather than at the linesman's awarding of a throw-in to Fiorentina.

Milan said they would appeal against the ban.

In local media Monday, his dismissal almost upstaged the first place retained by his side, three points clear of Napoli with six games left.

"Ibrahimovic risks three games," La Gazzetta dello Sport trumpeted, with la Repubblica focussing on "Ibra's folly."

A sports judge ruled that a one-game suspension stemmed from a previous caution to which Ibrahimovic on Sunday added a yellow card.

Two more were handed for his dismissal, totalling three games to be missed against minnows Brescia, Sampdoria and mid-table Bologna.
