It is believed that Sao Paulo have agreed to pay Sevilla around 12 million euros (16.62 million dollars) for the 30 year-old striker, who has been keen to return to Brazil for several months now.
Luis Fabiano joined Sevilla from FC Porto in 2006 and helped them to win two UEFA Cups and two Spanish King's Cups, scoring 106 goals for them. He formed a lethal partnership with French veteran Frederic Kanoute.
The sale of the club's top striker has been greeted angrily by the Sevilla fans. Sevilla are in disappointing seventh place in the Spanish Liga and are already out of the Europa League.
