Liverpool-Swansea City Preview

LONDON (SE) - Swansea City will be looking to finish a fine season in style when they welcome Liverpool to the Liberty Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Swans will be aiming for as high a league placing as possible with another famous win in Wales, and striker Danny Graham is hopeful of making the end of the season another cause for celebration for the fans.

"There's one game left and that could take us up as far as tenth in the table. That would be absolutely incredible for us," said Graham. "I know people will say that we've guaranteed our spot in the league for next season and maybe we can relax, but I can tell you that there'll be no relaxing in this squad.

"We have one game left against a massive club in Liverpool, and we want to finish on a high. We got clapped off the pitch at Anfieldwhen we drew there, and that was a fantastic result. We've picked up some massive results, and to claim another big scalp like Liverpool would round off the season for us."

Liverpool's 4-1 midweek win over Chelsea secured a top-half finish and manager Kenny Dalglish is targeting a victory that could see them leapfrog neighbours Everton in the final standings.

"We've got a desire to go there and win and, as we've said before, we want to do as well as we possibly can in every game we play," said Dalglish. "To win a trophy after six years was a good result for us, to get to the FA Cup final was a good result, and to get into the Europa League is also a measure of success.

"We're not happy finishing below anybody in the table. We want to be finishing above everybody. Whoever is in our road, it is up to us to be better than they are and get there when we can - but it's not been too bad (a season) for us.

"They've been fantastic this year," added Dalglish about Sunday's opponents Swansea. "We had a good game against them earlier in the season at Anfield and they've done really well, kept to their beliefs and that's stood them in good stead. The good work was started off with Roberto Martinez and has carried on with the people who are there now. Their position in the league doesn't mislead anybody. They are a good side and it'll be a difficult game for us."

The Swans are without Andrea Orlandi (calf), Ferrie Bodde (knee) and Kemy Agustien (ankle), while Liverpool's Charlie Adam and Lucas Leiva are still missing due to knee injuries.

Liverpool could finish as low as ninth in the league - their worst league placing since returning to the top-flight in 1962. The Reds have finished below their city rivals Everton just once in 25 seasons. Swansea's season has dipped, with just one win in the last eight and 14 goals conceded in the last eight at the Liberty. All four of Andy Carroll's league goals this season have been away from Anfield.
