Romania's Marica quits Stuttgart

BERLIN (AFP) - Romania striker Ciprian Marica and German club Stuttgart have parted company by mutual consent, the 2007 Bundesliga champions announced on their website on Wednesday.
"We wish Ciprian all the best for the future," said director of sport Fredi Bobic.
Marica, 25, arrived in Stuttgart for seven million euros from Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk in 2007 but has failed to impress, scoring 19 goals in 93 league matches.
He played his last game in late January against Freiburg since when he was sidelined after an argument with coach Bruno Labbadia.
He has continued to play for the Romania national team, scoring twice in their 3-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina in their Euro 2012 qualifier at the start of June.
According to press reports, Russian first division side Lokomotiv Moscow are interested in the Romanian.
