Peru’s coach has complied with the tie by 1-1 against Uruguay

SAN JUAN,  (AFP)- The coach of Peru, Sergio Markarian, considered a good result the tie by 1-1 with Uruguay, in their opening Group C of the 2011 Copa América, also
 admitted that now need a victory against Mexico, on Friday, to qualify for the quarterfinals.

"It was important to win a point", said Markarian, in terms of "we played against a rival with players with hierarchy, strong names, which stand out in Europe" concluded the coach.

"We knew some virtues of our rival and tried to not let them put us in danger. Our first half was very nervous, could not keep the ball", Markarian added.

"Now, what remains is to win a game, that allows us to move to the next phase, which would be very good for this group, you need to consolidate to our big goal, which is coming up with great possibilities for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers", added the coach of Peru.
