THE HAGUE (AFP) - One person died and 14 others were injured when part of a roof collapsed at the FC Twente stadium in the town of Enschede in eastern
Netherlands on Thursday, a town official said.
"It is terrible. One person has died and 14 others were injured. Ten of them were taken to hospital. Two of those are seriously injured," Mayor Peter den Oudsten told a press conference in the city, hours after the stadium's roof collapsed at noon.
He said the cause of the accident was not immediately known but Dutch media reported it happened when a crane drove into the structure during construction work.
