Broad strengthens Test claim

Nottinghamshire's Stuart Broad rolled over the Somerset tail to press his case for a place in England's first Test against India.
England's new Twenty20 captain is now under pressure from the likes of Steven Finn and Tim Bresnan in the longer format but, having taken two wickets on day one of his side's LV= County Championship Division One match at Trent Bridge, he picked up three more in quick time to close with five for 95.
Somerset slumped from 341 for five to 386 all out as a result, Craig Kieswetter finally departing for 164. By lunch, Nottinghamshire were 36 for two after two quick wickets from Steve Kirby.
At Scarborough, Yorkshire's Bresnan was busy showing his ability with the bat, reaching the break on 41 not out as his side took lunch 67 ahead on 235 for six.
Alan Richardson dismissed Andrew Gale early on, but Gary Ballance (46no) and Bresnan eased the White Rose past Worcestershire's 168 all out.
Bowlers continued to have the best of things at Hove, where Sussex were reduced to 125 for five in response to Hampshire's first-innings 206 all out.
Luke Wells managed 49, the highest score of the match so far, before becoming spinner Danny Briggs' second victim.
Another England man on county duty, Matt Prior, fell for five to Dominic Cork.
