ASUNCION (AFP) - Paraguay's coach, Gerardo Martino announced this Saturday the final list of the 23 players that will be registered to play the Copa America 2011 Argentina, which will start next Friday and goes until July 24.
Martino left out of the final list eight players that had been training with the 31 players that started the preparation to the South American competition.
The list of Paraguay's squad for copa america 2011 is:
Goalkeepers: Justo Villar (Valladolid, SPA), Diego Barreto (Cerro Porteño, PAR), Roberto Fernández (Racing, ARG).
Defenders: Paulo da Silva (Zaragoza, SPA), Antolin Alcaraz (Wigan, ENG), Darío Verón (Pumas UNAM, MEX), Aureliano Torres (San Lorenzo, ARG), Marcos Cáceres (Racing, ARG), Ivan Piris (Cerro Porteño, PAR), Elvis Marecos (Guaraní, PAR).
