The Colombian national team entered ‘gaucho' territory on Monday, June 27th to start the final stage of preparations before the Copa America, during the week. Colombia's first match in the competition is on Saturday, July 2nd, against Costa Rica.
The national team will stay at the Holiday Inn in Santa Fe and their training will begin on Tuesday, June 28th. The team will train in two hour blocks from 4PM to 6PM and from 9PM to 11PM. The training will take place, in the presence of the press, at the April 15 stadium, which belongs to Club Unión de Santa Fe.This training has been planned by the staff, directed by coach Hernán Darío Gómez for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning. In the afternoon the team will travel to Jujuy, where they will play their first match of the Copa America 2011. Colombia faces Argentina and Bolivia in Group A of the competition.
