PARIS, May 2 (Reuters) - Troubled Wales centre Gavin Henson has been given a second chance by French side Toulon having initially been told to leave following a breach of discipline, the club said on Monday.
He was suspended two weeks ago by the club with unconfirmed reports saying Henson had fought with a team mate following a match.
"This morning, the president Mourad Boudjellal and his staff at Toulon Rugby Club decided to reinstate Wales centre Gavin Henson into the Toulon squad," the club said in a statement on their website (www.rctoulon.com).
Henson, who was also released from his contract with Saracens in February after just two months with the London club, joined Toulon on a short-term deal the same month and had hoped to win a longer contract.
Having been out of the game for 18 months due to injury and off-field distractions such as a TV reality dancing show, Henson was battling to show glimpses of the form that made him a key member of Wales's grand-slam winning teams in 2005 and 2008.
However, injury and the suspension mean he has played only two games for Toulon.
He last played an international in March 2009 but had said he hoped his performances in France would earn a Wales recall and a possible first World Cup appearance in September.
