LONDON (AP)—FIFA President Sepp Blatter has not responded to an invitation to take part in a television debate with presidential challenger Mohamed bin Hammam.
In March, London-based Sky News invited the men to participate in a debate ahead of the June 1 election.
Sky said Bin Hammam accepted the invitation.
But, with the election three weeks away, the network says on its website Wednesday that “Blatter has avoided answering an official Sky invitation to go head to head with his rival.”
Blatter campaign spokesman Brian Alexander declined to comment.
