Badminton-Second seed Baun follows Nehwal out of India Open

Second-seeded Dane Tine Baun's return from injury was cut short by unseeded Chen Jiayuan of Singapore in the second round of the India Open Super Series badminton event on Thursday.
The world number nine and twice All-England champion, back
after 10 weeks out with a heel problem, lost 21-13 21-11 to join top seed Saina Nehwal of India and Japanese fifth seed Eriko Hirose on the women's singles casualty list.
In the men's event Indian qualifier Sourabh Verma, ranked 218th in the world, continued his dream run with a 21-19 18-21 21-11 win over seventh seed Kenichi Tago of Japan.
Verma, who stunned former Asian champion Sony Dwi Kuncoro of Indonesia in the first round, next meets world number one Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia in the quarter-finals.
"It was a great feeling to beat another big name in world badminton. I was positive in the match and after yesterday's win I believed I was capable of pulling off another upset," Verma said.
Top seed Chong Wei recorded a 21-13 21-17 win against South Korea's Lee Hyun Il.
"The India Open and Malaysia Open golds are part of my preparations for this year's world championships. As such I am not under any pressure to win the titles at these tournaments," he said.
Indonesian second seed Taufik Hidayat and Denmark's Peter Gade also reached the last eight of the $200,000 event.
Hidayat defeated India's Parupalli Kashyap 21-17 21-19 while Gade beat Japan's Sho Sasaki 21-12 21-17.
